Redesigned 2018 Chevy Traverse Takes Center Stage

The 2018 Chevy Traverse is coming to Miles Chevy this fall, and it’s offering a range of new features that are sure to excite car buyers. Redesigned from the ground up, the SUV dons new exterior styling, more connectivity technologies and a fresh V6 engine the delivers premium power.

New Trims & Exterior Styling

LED lighting, chrome accents and striking character lines can be seen on the new 2018 Chevy Traverse. There are also two new trim options that further accentuate the SUV’s exterior: the RS and High Country.


The RS model adds blacked-out elements, including a black bowtie and black chrome grille. The model also gains 20-inch wheels.

High Country

The High Country comes with 20-inch polished wheels, D-optic headlamps, special badging, power-fold third row seats, Loft Brown leather seating and twin-clutch AWD.


Inside the Traverse, you’ll discover Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi, USB charging ports and available wireless charging.

A number of safety features are also available, including lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Low and High-Speed Forward Automatic Braking and Chevy’s Rear Seat Reminder system (standard on all trims).

New 3.6L V6 Engine

The 2018 Traverse come standard with a new 3.6L V6 engine that delivers 10 percent more horsepower than the current model. It is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and helps the SUV produce an EPA-estimated 25 mpg highway. It also supports a 5,000-pound towing capacity.

The RS model gets a 2.0L turbo engine instead of the V6 that also comes matched to the nine-speed automatic. High Country also receives an exclusive Advanced AWD system that works to improve traction when encountering different road conditions.
