Fresh Upgrades & Standout Features

The color palette for the Chevy Malibu has been expanded this year and now features three new shades: Artic Blue Metallic, Cajun Red Tintcoat and Pepperdust Metallic. The LS and LT trims are also now compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing passengers to easily access smartphone apps via the car's dashboard display. Additionally, a Sport package is available for 2017, offering a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and 18-inch wheels.

Equipped with front-wheel drive, all models of the 2017 Chevy Malibu in Decatur deliver excellent performance. The L, LS and LT each receive a 1.5L four-cylinder, delivering 160 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque, along with a six-speed automatic transmission. These models produce an EPA-estimated 27 city, 36 highway and 30 mpg combined.

The 2.0L turbo four-cylinder fitted on the Premier trim now comes standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Generating 250 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, the powerplant is quite powerful.

A hybrid Malibu model is also available this year. It uses an electric motor, battery pack and 1.8L four-cylinder to deliver 182 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque. Out of all the Malibu models, it is the most fuel-efficient option.

Safety First

A standard rearview camera, ten airbags, traction and stability control and antilock brakes are provided on all Malibu models.
