The trims have been slightly changed on the Trax for 2017. The LS and LT are once again available, but the LTZ has been discontinued and replaced by Premier. The new top-of-the-line trim adds 18-inch aluminum wheels, heated front seats, leatherette upholstery and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Aside from the inclusion of the Premier trim, the 2017 Chevy Trax in Decatur gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, keyless open/start, and a new Chevy MyLink 7-inch color touch radio. The cabin also receives a new dual cockpit design and instrument cluster, offering tachometer readouts, a new gauge display, a driver information center and an analog speedometer.
A 1.4L four-cylinder engine, delivering 138 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque, is fitted on the new Trax. It comes matched to a six-speed automatic transmission and can be paired with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
When it comes to fuel economy, the crossover produces an EPA-estimated 28 mpg combined, 25 city and 33 highway with a front-wheel-drive configuration. An EPA-estimated 27 mpg combined, 24 city and 30 highway is achieved with an all-wheel-drive setup.
OnStar, airbags, antilock brakes, traction and stability control, and a rearview mirror are standard on the Trax.
