Trims and Features
Both the regular and extended cab versions of 2500 come with a 4.3L V6 engine, which can be upgraded to a bigger and more powerful 6.0L, V8 engine or a 2.8L turbocharged, four-cylinder diesel engine. The Express's standard interior amenities include an AM/FM radio with a built-in MP3 player, a heavy-duty vinyl floor covering, and air conditioning. Four dome lights plus additional lighting brighten the interior. The 2500 also has power windows and door locks. The vinyl driver's seat and front passenger's seat have high backs for extra support. OnStar assistance, trim panels, power outlets, and a driver information center are other standard amenities on 2500. Daytime running lights, manually adjustable side mirrors, and an electronic stability control mechanism complete its base amenities. A convenience package for drivers is optional, and it adds a tilt steering wheel and cruise control to the standard amenities. The extended cab version of 2500 has the same suite of standard amenities. A communications package, which adds steering wheel-mounted controls, SiriusXM radio, Bluetooth, and cruise control, a rear-window defogger, heated side mirrors, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are optional. The 3500 trim level of the Express adds to the amenities of 2500 with a higher gross vehicle weight rating of up to 9,900 lbs. At 4,300 lbs., its payload capacity exceeds that of the 2500. The standard engine in the 3500 is a 4.3L V6, and buyers can upgrade to a 6.0L V8 engine for more power and performance. A USB port, one 120V power outlet, and two auxiliary power outlets are other amenities in the 3500. The 3500 has an optional Wi-Fi internet connection that provides internet simultaneously for up to seven devices.
