The modern Chevrolet Malibu is a midsize sedan that has been manufactured by Chevrolet since 1997. Over the years, the Chevy Malibu has joined the Chevy Impala as one of the company’s flagship models, with its annual United States sales hovering around 150,000-200,000 units sold. The Malibu nameplate now sits in its ninth generation, which began with the 2016 model year.
The Chevy Malibu got a nice mid-cycle refresh for the 2019 model year. These changes included cosmetic changes to the front-end, a new RS trim level, a new infotainment system, and a CVT instead of the 6-speed transmission. Additionally, Chevrolet added more standard safety features like low-speed automatic braking and automatic high-beams. With so many notable changes that Chevrolet put into the 2019 Chevy Malibu, it should come as no surprise that the 2020 Chevrolet Malibu offers little changes.
