The Chevy Spark is a subcompact SUV or hatchback that is known as America's most affordable car.
Chevy Spark vehicle/performance specs:
The Chevy Spark is not exactly considered to be a high-speed car. It packs an underwhelming 98 horsepower. It seemingly walks from zero to sixty miles per hour in 10.8 seconds. It has an impressive driving range, with 30 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway. It has a 5-speed manual transmission and 4-wheel anti-lock breaks.
Despite being very affordable, the Chevy Spark has not been selling as well as Chevy would like. Instead of improving the Spark and making it more desirable, Chevrolet has decided to focus more on crossovers and discontinue production of the Spark.
In early 2022, the Chevrolet GM ordered that the Chevy Spark be discontinued from production by August of this year (2022).
As of today (Nov. 2022), if you're in the market for a cheap new car and still want a Chevrolet, the car salesman helping you will undoubtedly point you toward the Chevy Trax or Chevy Trailblazer. These cars may be the next cheapest vehicles that Chevy offers after the discontinued Spark: the Trax and the Trailblazer.
