Corvette EV Officially In The Works

The most exciting news that has recently been announced in the auto industry is the upcoming release of the Corvette EV. GM has confirmed the electric model is currently in production and is scheduled to be released to the public in 2023. The electric version will allow drivers to rely on a battery to keep their vehicle powered and avoid the high cost of fuel to get around.

The Corvette EV will be built with a hybrid powertrain with GM's Ultium battery platform and may potentially be called the E-Ray. A fully-electric version will be released following the release of the Corvette EV.

Experts are suggesting that the new Corvette EV will deliver impressive performance and may have 1,000 horsepower with power delivered to the front wheels. Drivers won't have to worry about compromising any power under the hood with the new hybrid version. The latest version of the model, the Corvette Z06, generates 670 horsepower and has a 5.5-liter V-8 engine under the hood. It's likely that the new EV model will also come standard with all-wheel drive for improved traction under the wheels while taking joy rides.

Small snippets and clips of the prototype have been released to the public, teasing a fast and intimidating sports car that will continue to evolve and become more aggressive. Additional teasers will likely be released by GM in the near future to showcase additional features that will come with the vehicle.

Car enthusiasts are also hoping the same changes will be made to the Chevy Camaro in the near future. More car brands like Honda, Toyota, and Lexus continue to release EV vehicles to remain competitive and meet the increasing demand for hybrid and electric models in the auto industry.
