Over time, Chevy has crafted a series of incredibly capable pickups. The newly revealed Silverado EV ZR2 concept recently joined the prestigious Mint 400 off-road race. This electric-powered racer completed the punishing 73-mile lap, validating its performance on severe terrain. Chevy also ran the combustion-engine Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 in the event.
Exceptional Performance
The Silverado EV ZR2's triplex motor setup produces approximately 1,100 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque. Users will thrill to its rapid acceleration and immense towing potential. At the Mint 400's finish, the EV ZR2 retained 40 percent of its battery capacity, underscoring its durability.
Purpose-Built Off-Road Gear
Chevrolet equipped the Silverado EV ZR2 concept with custom off-road components. Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers offer over 13 inches of wheel travel front and rear, while locking differentials increase traction on slick surfaces. Other rugged enhancements include underbody skid plates, 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires, and a lifted suspension for extra ground clearance.
Introducing the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss
This summer, Chevy plans to debut the Silverado EV Trail Boss. This model arrives from the factory with a lift kit, red tow hooks, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and a new Terrain Mode, making sustainable off-roading a reality.
