Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Race Car Set to Debut New Look

The 2024 model year marked the end of an era for the Camaro, but the story continues on the asphalt. The 2026 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 race car returns to the NASCAR Cup Series, showcasing a bold new look inspired by the vehicle's final production generation.

Designers took cues from the Carbon Performance Package, adding a similar hood insert and front splitter. Carbon-fiber rockers and a larger hood power dome complete the updates. These changes improve airflow and cooling to help the car stay stable during high-speed racing.

Chevrolet's history in the Cup Series is unmatched, with 881 wins and 44 Manufacturer Championships. The updated ZL1 is poised to defend its title and continue expanding its trophy case in 2026.

Will the Production Version of the Camaro Return?

Many fans are wondering if the Camaro will return. While Chevrolet has not announced a successor, there is still hope for muscle car enthusiasts.
