Chevrolet Suburban Exterior

What is a Proper Chevrolet Suburban Service Interval Schedule?

The Chevrolet Suburban is a vehicle that can serve you well for many years. It's built with integrity and class, and it provides you with a wide array of features. As with any automobile, Miles Chevrolet encourages you to seek regular maintenance for your Suburban. This will help prevent issues from developing, but this is also a way for our technicians to spot a problem before it becomes an expensive repair job. We can provide you with a Chevrolet Suburban maintenance schedule that the manufacturer of your vehicle has recommended.

15,000-Mile Service

This is one of the first maintenance appointments that you will schedule for your vehicle. At this point, you'll need an oil change performed. We also recommend having your brakes and tires inspected as a way to confirm your safety. Headlights, windshield wipers, and fluid levels should also be inspected.

30,000-Mile Service

We'll repeat the inspection that occurred at your last appointment, including your brakes, tires, headlights, and more. You'll also receive another oil change with a change of your oil filter. Your fuel filter and air filter should also be inspected and changed as needed. Keep in mind that the type of driving you do and the location you're driving in will determine how often certain things need to be maintained. Dusty areas of the country often result in more frequent filter changes.

60,000-Mile Service

Now that your automobile is starting to age a bit, we'll add a few more items to your list of scheduled maintenance. At 60,000-miles, you can expect to have your coolant and transmission fluids checked. This is common before the 75,000-mile mark. We will also recommend that you have your battery checked. Your vehicle is likely starting to creep up in age, so your battery may warrant service or replacement. We'll check to see what the current charge of your battery is. We'll also see if your battery can charge and remain charged.

90,000-Mile Service

We spend a little more time looking at your Chevrolet Suburban when you come in for a 90,000-mile service check. We'll repeat what we've done before, but we'll also look at a number of internal components that may be breaking down by this point in time. This includes power steering fluid levels, spark plugs, hoses, spark plugs, and your timing belt.

It's imperative that you follow your Chevrolet Suburban maintenance schedule that we have provided for you at Miles Chevrolet in Decatur. Whenever you're ready to schedule an appointment, reach out to our service center. We'll find a day and time that will work for you, so it's more convenient than ever to obtain the service that your automobile needs.
