A 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X sold for $2.6 million, with the full amount going to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This foundation focuses on providing mortgage-free housing to families of fallen heroes and catastrophically injured veterans.

The vice president at Global Chevrolet explained that the ZR1X is about much more than horsepower; it is about honoring those who serve the nation. This 1-of-1 edition represents the quickest production car in America. Chevrolet is proud that the auction results will go directly toward the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to help those in need across the country.

Rick Hendrick, who leads both Hendrick Automotive Group and Hendrick Motorsports, was the high bidder for this unique vehicle. The ZR1X features a hand-painted Stars & Steel design from the General Motors Design Fabrication shop, complete with blue-painted calipers and blue trim highlights. A twin-turbocharged V8 engine gives this 1-of-1 model incredible power and a legendary exhaust note.

Frank Siller, CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, praised the ongoing partnership with General Motors and Chevrolet. He noted that such generous contributions allow the foundation to continue its work in ensuring that the families of fallen first responders and veterans can live with dignity and security.

Chevrolet has raised a total of $15.5 million through Barrett-Jackson auctions over the past 15 years. Barrett-Jackson CEO Craig Jackson commented that the sale of the ZR1X was a highlight of the auction, securing a special place in the annals of automotive history for the new owner.
