The Chevrolet Corvette is iconic, and 2023 marks the 70th year of its production. Corvette is actually the longest-running nameplate of any car currently being made. Its longevity can be attributed to its tradition of pushing the boundaries while staying attainable.

Chevy awarded $165,000 worth of scholarships to 11 HBCU students. It is part of its Discover the Unexpected internship program.

Earlier this year, Chevrolet unveiled a complete garage makeover for EV owners. Their new line of electric vehicles (EVs) comes with a charging station. It is designed to work specifically with EVs.

 
The all-new 2023 Corvette Z06 was auctioned at the Palm Beach Auction. The car raised a record-breaking $1 million for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. It is a special edition Corvette and only the second to be auctioned off, and it's sure to be a hot commodity among car collectors. The proceeds from the sale will help support students attending colleges and universities.

 
Corvette Racing is set to go global in 2022, with plans to compete in races all over the world. The iconic American sports car team has been competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship since 1999 and has won 12 championship titles. But now, they're looking to take their racing prowess to new heights by expanding into other racing series.

 

The Northeast Community Fund has been serving Decatur and the surrounding communities since 1969. Founded by St. John's Lutheran Church, in conjunction with Superior Welding, CB&Q Foundries, and Wagner Castings, this organization helps local families in need. Although they started small, serving only one neighborhood, the Northeast Community Fund expanded greatly in the years that followed.
