At CES 2025, Oshkosh, a major industrial truck manufacturer, showcased how they're leveraging racing technology to prevent accidents involving emergency vehicles. This transfer of Corvette Racing's sophisticated monitoring systems to public roads is an exciting development with the potential to save lives.

 
The all-new 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is already proving to be one of the fastest production cars in the world. General Motors President Mark Reuss recently took it for a spin at a test track in Germany, where it hit an incredible top speed of 233 mph. No other production vehicle priced under $1 million has reached this level of speed. The new Corvette ZR1 consistently surpassed 230 mph during multiple test runs, setting a new record for American sports cars.

Chevy awarded $165,000 worth of scholarships to 11 HBCU students. It is part of its Discover the Unexpected internship program.

Earlier this year, Chevrolet unveiled a complete garage makeover for EV owners. Their new line of electric vehicles (EVs) comes with a charging station. It is designed to work specifically with EVs.

 
Corvette Racing is set to go global in 2022, with plans to compete in races all over the world. The iconic American sports car team has been competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship since 1999 and has won 12 championship titles. But now, they're looking to take their racing prowess to new heights by expanding into other racing series.

 

The Northeast Community Fund has been serving Decatur and the surrounding communities since 1969. Founded by St. John's Lutheran Church, in conjunction with Superior Welding, CB&Q Foundries, and Wagner Castings, this organization helps local families in need. Although they started small, serving only one neighborhood, the Northeast Community Fund expanded greatly in the years that followed.
